What have people done for floors after you ripped the carpet up?

POR15, chip guard paint seems to be the most common.

With my power plans I do not care about counting to the VERY LAST pound. So I am doing POR15 with thin black carpet to make it not so...stripped? It is a daily after all.

Factory floors are nicely painted, unless you wanted to change color just dont see a reason to do anything.

Im ralking about the highth diff, there is about a 1.5in difference between the carpet and floor

No issues with pedals with the carpet removed, only thing i added was one of massive lee's dead pedals that replaces the carpet one.

word to the wise, POR15 is probably the absolute messiest product to work with.

cover *everything* in your interior if you're working from that angle, including yourself.

ive done that^ on my spec miata. diamond plate floor, with a few risers underneath to raise it up, bolted through. works well, though I don't like the diamond plate on rainy days

I used Rustoleum truck bed liner. I bought a 1 quart can and painted it in with a 3" brush. You need to stir it up really good, it helps if you scuff the paint underneath, and it's a bit like painting jelly. It came out pretty good and is holding up well so far. I've used the aerosol cans for undercoating spots, and they come out a bit nicer, but I hate spray painting in the interior, masking takes too long and everything gets a film.

And I don't know what you mean about a 1.5" difference without the carpet. I can see MAYBE 1CM difference at best.

Diamond plate looks awesome, bit slippery, also loves to eat little nuts and bolts that you drop.
