    Brakes...pads looking at some PFC08's

If you have used them do you like them? How was their wear? We are currently only getting a weekend event out of our cheap ceramic pads and 2-3 per a set of rotors. PFC08 are double are cost but we've heard of others getting 4 races out of a set. So that would help plus they have better grip as well. Rotor costs will go up slightly but we use cheap rotors so that's not a major issue yet.

not sure about 08s, but we've gotten at least 3 races out of our most recent PFC06's and they still have a ton of life.

What type racing or DE's. We are pretty light trying to get the car weighed to set it up for corner balancing soon. Just need to get my home made coil-overs done.

So your at about our weight, yeah we get a testing session in as well, the bad is we are only running small brakes at the moment might convert to e36 M3 brakes next year but then costs go up as well.

we've got stock e30 brakes and 205 star specs on 15x7s, they have been plenty powerful so far.

We were worn out 217K mile m42 with a defunct disa valve too a warmed over M52 with the zf 320 to a 4.45lsd and make up some of the top speed with tires.

We're on budget tires but have tires for our next race. Car is gutted but needs a bit more gutting to get it down to the weight were I'm happy with power to weight ratio.

There were only two cars at our last race that could walk from us out of a turn. One turbo the other V8, this next race should help at NHIS the straights are shorter and has a nice small hill.

Just bought a set from bimmerworld...came out to about 260ish. Theyre wonderful people to deal with too. Ive heard nothing but good about the 08's, long life, not bad on rotors.

Run the cheapest rotors you can find...i get mine for 14$ each.

That's what we are doing, I then recycle them for scrap metal...budget racing at it's worst.

No point in buying good rotors... You'll be doing the same thing and spending more money.

yeah, we use the cheapest rotors i can find... but nice tires, thankfully the Z2s are around 100 for 205/50r15s so it's not as bad as it could be.

The 08's will probably last longer than what you've been using, but I don't know if they'll make it through multiple Lemons races. A Lemons race is a lot of race time.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Well we are making it thru the day with el cheapo carbon pads that cn be had most anywhere. WE tend to be momentum drivers and not the smash on the brakes type.

I'm sorry, is that $260 for a set of front and rear 08s? OR just fronts? I remember my PFC06s front and rear came out to $500ish from bimmerworld last year

Hey guys – is the PFC08 an endurance or sprint pad?
