Kind of iffy. Not sure if Alex wants to co-drive with me or not. Plus being a Dana employee, the future of my co-op job is questionable, so I might have to be a tightwad with my money...

If you promise to floss every day, maybe he will split the hotel room with you as well to keep costs down. ;)
Edit: Alright, its in the mail and my parts are all ordered. Just waiting for those and a set of basketweaves to show up now. What brake ducts are you guys running?

Brake ducts???? We don;t need no stinking brake ducts!
Well, its been a rather busy weekend between redoing the kitchen floor, moving a piano, and working on my e30 in the meantime, trying to get it ready for the tech inspection. And here's a few random old pictures, since I've never posted a pic of my car....

Well, Bimmer World sent me the wrong tranny mounts. I guess I'll have to run to the dealer today or tommorow and hope I can get everything ready by next Saturday.
As far as helmet choices, I know M2005 helmets are allowed, but are they a good idea? What are the pros and cons compared to SA rated helmets, if the intended use is only driving schools and autocrosses?

Did you order the "stiff" mounts from BW?
If so, they didn't send you the wrong ones, you just need to drill out the holes on the tranny brace a little bit to clear the mounting screws. They're just the mounts off of the e21.
As for the M helmet, I'm not aware of those being approved by any chapter for on-track usage, just autox. SA helmets are designed for multiple impacts, and are also flame retardent.

Yeah, these are their stiff mounts. It didn't seem like they would fit the tranny forks, but maybe I can snag one of the lifts after work one day this week and try again. It looks like my RSFMs and RTABs from IE won't be here in time though.
