    i wanna autocross: PA

so I have always wanted to go have a place to learn how to drive my car on the limits and autocross seems like the first thing to get in to. my only question is how do I do it and what do I need to do it? im not really so worried about being very competitive as much as wanting to go enjoy my car. can anyone explain to me how to get into these events?

Chris I've only ever run the NEPA region SCCA auto crosses but its pretty straight forward, check online to see what region your in and get a schedule. Show up early and either sign up as a 1 day SCCA member like I do or become a yearly SCCA member if you wish. Pay the entrence fees and they will tell you what class you fall into based on what mods you have. Ask to borrow a helmet if you don't have one and get your car teched after you empty it of all your junk. Walk the course to get an idea of the layout, then wait untill it's your round to go. Don't worry about speed on your first go just get the course into your head. Also e30s are not competitive in any class so don't even worry about it just have fun.
