Who is getting new helmets and from where?

    Hey...

I'm doing some HPDEs this year, and some autocrosses (Solo II). My previous helmet was a S95M, which wasn't even for autocross anyway but many schools seemed to let it pass.

Should I get an S2000 or S2005, where should I get it from? Willing to spend $400+shipping but would prefer to spend less. Full face coverage preferred.

    Anyone else getting new helmets?

Just picked up a Bell M3 pro from OG racing, ~$479, Snell 05. It's nice, makes my old M2 non-pro feel like a brick.

Get an SA2005 model. As for what kind, you ought to try some on if you can. I got an open face model last year - a pyrotect. I had tried one on and liked it, but the shop I went to did not have one in my size except for the display model - so I would up getting the same one off of eBay.

I've been leaning toward OG Racing... they seem to have a great selection and good prices...

I had a G-Force helmet before which was ok. I'll look at the size on it and order meup one of those M3s... I was looking at a couple of "cooler looking" (imo) black ones but those M3s have air vents and ducts in just about every place... I hate having a wet sweaty head... I may become a Charlie poser :)

Free shipping, good selection, great guys to deal with.

I've been doing business with them since '97.

FWIW I got a SA2005 open face G-force from their "outlet store" for under $90

Does the trick for me. I mean, I'm not doing enduros or anything! It just has to be comfortable for 25 minutes at a time ;)

Picked up a Simpson Bandit SA2005 for just under $400 this fall.
