Tell me this doesn't sound like fun . . .

    http://www.teamlodgelosers.co.uk/

Beater e30 in the Plymouth-Dakar rally. I am signing up for 2007.

Now that takes some nerve - and plenty of money for shady border guards.

Count me in. I've got the boom sticks.

Forget that candy ass conversion van. We need one of these. I'm sure you could pick one up cheap in Germany or Switzerland.

I don't think this is 'Plymouth-Dakar' but rather 'Plymouth-Banjul' --its a charity event for beater cars of all types --max value with mods around $300 (I've already signed the budget beater guy up).

Recently, the dude who started cardomain.com and his buddy completed it in a 45 hp Fiat Panda (sort of like an upmarket, italian yugo).

I followed their blog... the coolest thing is that when one of the cars needed a transmission or something, they would just tip the car on its side to do the work. pretty cool.
