What front pads for massive lee bbk

Ordering a sport kit from massive lee brakes soon. Was curious what people are running as a pad compound for autox and track .

I will eventually have an s52 in the car but now I'm just building towards that.

    Thanks.

Don't have a Massive kit, but wouldn't change my pad choice at all just because I got a bbk. I've got a set of PFC11s on my car at the moment and that'd be my personal choice if I were in your situation. The only thing really is that it would take more effort to put heat in the pads, so if you are super concerned with stopping power for autox and around town maybe something like HP+ or DS2500 would be a better bet. I doubt I'd have any issues though.

Lof8 is running that BBK, as am I. He's been using Hawk HT-10s. I just picked up a set to pop on the car, and I will be able to report back after this weekend about how they perform on track. He's S50-swapped, I'm S52-swapped, so it sounds like we'll be in the same boat :)

Awesome can't wait to here how the ht-10 do . I've seen some people like those. I'll have to check out pfc11s . I'm currently using ds2500 on my 2011 sti and I'm not to impressed. Gonna turn the rotors and give them another try. The sti is so damn heavy up front so it might stop better on the e30.

I'll probably try the ht-10s or check out if porterfield has a size that might work

I used Wilwood H Compound per Lee's suggestion and they were good pads that lasted me about 10 track days. At the time it was a lightened s50 swap track only car.

Plus 1. At the recommendation of two other e30 drivers running s50/2 cars, I'm running h- compound pads as well. Highly recommended. Great wear and feel on the track. If you drive on the street switch them out or they will eat rotors. I run pfc 06 in the stock rear.

                  Is this the "corrado" kit?

I have a Corrado kit I built using the Dynalite caliper. It uses the 7112 pad profile. I think this is basically the same as what Massive is selling.

My car is a full interior street car with A/C with an S52 weighing in at 2680lbs. I track this car at HPDEs all over the Southeast

I am a Hawk Brakes fan. I have used them for a long time. so they are my preferred pad manufacturer.

On the track, I use Hawk DTC-60 on the front and HT-10 in the rear. They work great. I have also used the Wilwood Polymatrix A compound front and HT-10 in the rear. The Wilwood pads worked well, but burned through a brand new set in one weekend at Mid-ohio. The Hawk pads last me about 3-5 event weekends. But this was before I installed ducting to cool the brakes.

On the street, I have used the Wilwood BP-20 and crappy orielly house brand in the rear. this was mediocre at best. I am currently running the Hawk DTC-05 in the front and HP+ in the rear. this is a great street set up (in my opinion). However they do squeal under moderate braking after they have been heated up a bit. I think this pad combination will work excellent for Autox.

Also, A good source for pads is LPIRacing.com or HRPWorld.com

I believe when I bought my Sport kit from Massive, they came with the Hawk HP+ pads. I only have one track day on them, but have no complaints. They squeel a little on the street, but that's expected.

Another one for the Wilwood H compound at Lee's recommendation, liked them more than PFC01s.

Beej, do yourself a favor and get rid of the HP+ pads if thats what they truly are. They are fine for autox but they have a operating range of like 20deg: squeal...squeal...GRAB HARD...fade into nothingness
