FX1 wide with door panels and center console?

Just curious if anyone has fitted a corbeau fx1 wide into a 2dr e30 with an interior? Or any wider fixed back seat? Any one have maximum measurements that the seat cannot go over and still fit into the car?

With stock door cars I had clearance issues with my bucket seats, I now have some door cards I made to help. Spyke makes them on here as well.

I had an older Sparco XL that had already been trimmed to fit an e36, and it worked...just barely. You may end up sanding off some of the fiberglass/whatever of the seat if you really want it to fit. Generally the front lower corner by your thigh to clear the center console and by the left shoulder to clear the door.

I currently have an OMP WRC XL in my 4door e30 w/ full interior. It just fits. I love it.
I was unable to fit a corbeau FX1 wide.
The regular FX1 is fairly wide. it will fit.

so, with a 2dr you should have a bit more room (i think) be cause the seat wont be hitting the B pillar.

I like the corbeau. but the OPM is much less flimsy. it is more expensive, but well worth it. just my 2 cents.

Flimsy was one of my other concerns, I weigh 250 and im worried about cracking the shell of the seat over time getting in and out and while cornering. Mind if I ask your weight, waste size and build?

I just installed an FX1 Wide w/Wedge Bracket in to my stripped E30, and it barely fit. Great seat, however I recommend side-mounting it as the bottom-mount position seems to be a bit too upright for me -- I had to remove the bottom cushion to make room for my helmet. The right bottom corner of the seat touched the transmission tunnel, so I made the decision to lightly dent in the tunnel to make some clearance. The left shoulder bolster sits about an inch from the window.

@camshaftgxr I'm about 250lbs and the seat does not feel like it will crack.

That's a bummer because I'm going to keep my center and rear consoles, how does the seat fit you? I wear a 36-38 pant.

There are plenty of seats you can fit in that will fit in the car. I have a Momo Start on the passenger side of my car and it fits fine, and anyone can sit in it. I'm thinking a sparco evo II or something similar would be perfect for you

I would say go for the normal (non-wide) version, most people who have sat in my seat think it's too wide. I'm a 38 waist and it's not snug by any means.

I wear 36-38 and have a Sparco Pro2000. Fits me very well, and doesn't rub the car on either side. Very comfortable seat as well.

I'm a 32 and run a pro2000 in my e30... Honestly I'm surprised anyone larger than a 34 will fit in that seat.
