How are the A3S04's in 225/50 R 14? Will those fit on weaves with small spacers?

    Keep it slideways!!

Should fit without spacers, I guess- but I don't think they're on the clearance list..........

My skill level is not up to R-Comps yet - if it were, I'd be all over these.

Axxe, you need a small spacer in the front with 225 hoosiers. I have to run a 1/4" spacer to get them to clear the strut.

Hmm this price is hard to ignore. Would these stress a stock suspension too much?
My e30 and e28 are both up for sale::

                  No.

But, I would HIGHLY recommend staying with street tires for at least the first 5 DE's or track days before considering R-compound tires. You will learn ALOT more about car control on street tires- then move on to R-compounds.

They also have the Autocross compound on sale if you're thinking of autox, and they just added the A3SO5's and R3SO5's since the A/R3SO6's are out now- but the A/R3SO4's are by far the lowest price.....

They have them in the newest compound- R3SO6's- but they're $185 each!!

I bought 8 of the 205/60R14 R3SO4's- less than $600 delivered. They are a decent size, maybe a little small, but for the price I could not go wrong. FWIW, I have been running 225/50R15's on 15x7 wheels- but I'll just run these 205/60R14's on bottlecaps or baskets or whatever I have handy.

How do the R3SO4's compare to the Toyo RA-1 in both grip and life? I want a longer lasting tire, and I've been told the RA-1 lasts really long. Not 100% sure about how the Hoosiers are, although even if they have more grip in the same size as the Toyo, the 225 on the Toyo will offset that. They are almost double the price than the Hoosier though :(

In general, the Hoosiers are said to be stickier than the RA-1's, but they also are said to wear out faster. HArd to say how much stickier and how much faster, but for the price- it's hard to go wrong, IMHO.

Also, the RA-1's are supposed to be shaved before using them to get max grip + treadwear out of them- so you have to add that cost into their initial purchase price.
