Hey man, I'm pretty sure I met you at that event. I was in the Zinno S52 car that cracked a rotor. Great video, and the car sounds even better as a spectator.

Hey Matt, yeah man that's me. Sorry couldn't help you out with a spare rotor that ended your weekend early.

btw rotor's if you can fit them on your kit I'd get the HD version. The ones I'm running are....

        Wilwood
        HD 40 curved vane rotors
        Premium grade
        11.75" x 1.25" (bolt circle 8x7)
        160-3846
        160-3847

Thanks on the car. Yeah been working quite a bit to make that event. I signed up for October with NASA. I had a few minor problems in July's event. Too much excess fuel on downshifts; fixed that mapping area. Should help tone the exhaust flames down the other Matt saw :) . He said before the roller coaster it shot approx 10ft flames on downshifts. I lost a bolt that holds the side pop out window :) . Lost a exhaust hanger bolt. Was consuming amsoil 20w50 oil. Thanks to the M guys in the paddock added one quart of Liquimoly 10w60 and it quit using all Sunday. Even made it home and was still same level on the stick. Switched oil to all LM 10w60 last week. And I found out I wasn't running ANY camber in the front (left was -0.1, right was -0.3) doh!. Re-aligned with -1.5 each.

edit: I talked to Lee (Massive). He mentioned the HD40 may not be available anymore. I asked about the newer HD48 spec37 steel rotors. He recommends them as better replacements. I was looking at spares myself so ordering a set pretty soon.

Thanks, I did get the HD's as replacements and will be carrying spares with me next time. I would like to be out there in October but I have a wedding to attend and my own a couple weeks after. I should be at the track more in 2015, hopefully I'll see you out there.

The rotor cracked pretty badly, which in turn ate the pad. I had spare pads, but I didn't have a spare rotor. Rookie mistake, but I really expected to get more than 2 days out of the rotors.

The lesson: even if your rotors are new, bring a spare set.
