Videos from my first-ever race weekend at Watkins Glen!

This is a few laps from my first time ever on-track at Watkins Glen, and it was awesome! I spent most of the session learning lines and trying to get used to the (very fast) Ginetta G4, but got my time down into the 2:18s which accidentally qualified me 5th!

    More to come!

Here are some laps from Dad's big-bore qualifying race on Friday. It was his only time in the car for the weekend, but he still managed fourth overall and a lap time in the 2:13s!

P.S. If you have any tips for cleaning up the audio buzz a little, please let me know! I can implement it for the last two videos from this past weekend.

So jealous! That looks so fun to be able to be on track with like-minded individuals! I wish vintage racing up here was as lively as in the US! Great driving too man, I hope to share the track with you one day!

Thanks, that'd be awesome! I have another 2(ish, you'll see what I mean) races to post and I feel like I was a bit faster there, but I'm trying real hard not to run before I can walk in the Ginetta. I'll just stick to running sideways in the Cortina until then ;D

Here's video of what was going to be my first-ever race in the Ginetta G4. Unfortunately, a large, multi-car incident on lap 1 ended the race quickly.

This was the morning after my last posted video, and my first full race in the Ginetta. The track was just above freezing and the sun was low, so grip was low and visibility sometimes dropped to zero. I dropped my time almost two seconds and missed the win by half a second!

I tried some new text "commentary" throughout this video, so please let me know if it helped or hurt things!
