The problem with the wheel weights is that R compounds build up boogers way too fast, throwing the wheel out of balance anyways. They also wear too fast to effectively balance an R compound setup.

He's simply referring to the weights that are either adhesived on, or clamped on the very edge of the wheel. Whenever you 'throw' one of these there's going to be an obvious shimmy because the wheel/tire combo is now out of balance.Originally posted by volta06Btw, can someone explain the whole wheel weight concept?
