    Wide angle Rear view mirror?

Ok I'm thinking of picking up a Wideangle rear view mirror, probally one of the convex styles like this
now I'll be completly removing the stock mirror and mounting this one in it's place. Would a 17" be over kill for the smallish e30? or witl 14" work just fine.
When wearing the 6-point harness, combined with the roll bar, the stock mirror just dosn't cut it. So I'm looking for some sort of aftermarket mirror, so I can see my blindspots.

    Ely,

I got a three panel "wink" mirror at Big Lots for $5 the other day. Yes, its big, but I like it.

My friend Seth has one of those in his MkII GTi rally car, but it goes all the way across the windshield. NO blind spots at all.

I'm not realy a fan of the wink style mirrors, I now the curved ones take some getting use to, and distances are not as accurate as flat lensed wink mirrors.
Dave about how long is that big lots special? I may just have to stop by one on my way home tommorow.

Convex mirrors screw with my head. I had a 5-panel wink in one of my 2002's and I loved it! I have considered installing it in my e30.

well I went ahead and purchased a 3-panel Wink mirror off ebay. So we'll see how it works.

I dunno. They had about a dozen of them at the store by me. But I think with Big Lots, there is no telling what each store has in stock.
