If you can't fit these you better make a vistit to your local church for a good long prayer session because you're going to need it.

    Got this from SCCA forums.
This will fit on E30's with fender flares and custom wheels. Enjoy!!

Fast miatas run in CSP and basically dominate csp.

The E30 M3 is in CSP with the Miata, Spyder and the CRX. And it's a no contest. The M3 would not stand much of a chance.

They have yet to make this tire so banning it is.;)

Tell that to Shipkov who placed 2nd this year in DSP with 305's. Autox is an odd sport in that huge tires that don't get warm still generate enough extra grip they are well worth the extra weight..

If that's who I'm thinking of I've already gotten into it with him on a different forum. I think he could have gone just as fast with a more reasonable tire, given the proper car setup.

Bottom line, wider tires are not the answer when the question is "how do I get more grip?"

That's the old racers philosophy, which frankly is wrong now days for the most part. At least for autocrossing.
As soon as guys went to the 285 30 18 tire the old times and cars were blown away. That right there is proof enough.
It is the faster way in autocrossing. As long as the tire can get heated up. In road racing the same is not true.

Why not? The lap records in BMWCCA CR across the nation at road tracks were shattered by cars running +275 width tires.

Faster cars need wider/bigger tires. A DSP e30 is not a particularly fast car. Especially compared to a C5 vette or whatever those massive tires are off of.

There is a point where the increased grip will be offset by the extra mass that needs to turn for the car to move.

Educate yourself with experience. Why did Alex Shchipkov do so well with 305s and 18 x 10.5" wheels?

Take an autocross of 50 seconds....how many seconds are spent turning??? How many seconds are spend going straight?? Are the tires getting hot??
