    EESCC Icebreaker autocross video

Sorry I still don't have the Bimmer ready so I ran the Integra.

The quality of youtube sucks. I seriously need a firewire cable though.

I placed 13th in PAX for the day...I hate PAX though.
    Running the A032R soft compound tires. 205 50 15

I didn't have much of a chance to get video of the E30's there but there were a good handfull of them running.

2nd run was done in mostly second gear...way out of the power range of the motor. 3rd run done in 1st mostly and yes I fucked up the shift...trust me I know. I forgot to blip the throttle.

VRC lot, right? I used to do the EESCC auto-xes when I went to school in Eugene. How many people turned out for the Ice-Breaker this year? A few years back there were so many that we only got to do three runs (my last one was at dusk).

On a side note, you meet any of the e30 crew down there? David and Evan Lumbra are really nice guys. I'm sure Ted was probably there too.

      Yep.
Yeah I know the Lumbras. Not well though.
It was the same this year. Three runs and it went till it was about an hour till being dark.

I was there in the morning doing the green flag starter thing for the first run group. We had 140 something drivers I think. I recall 4 e30s running. I didn't drive, just there working. Tremendous weather considering we had snow 4 days earlier. My friends Jim and Tammi Daniels were running another Miata driver's car with those amazingly huge 285/30-18 Hoosiers like Alex S. runs. Looked like a matchbox car. Ran hard. Just a tenth of a second off top time of day. Too much money for me between buying 10" rims and tires that you can see disappear on every run. Costs a lot to be truly fast these days.

Sorry I didn't see you there. I know Jim. Yes the 285's are very spendy. I'll be getting the 275 45 15's when they come out...can't wait but it might be next year for those.
Thanks for working even though you didn't run. They didn't give me a work assignment so I made them give me a job.
Did either of your sons run?
There were a couple e30's in the afternoon as well.

I only have one son, Evan. No, he didn't run. He is still building his 318. Soon to have a turbo on it. He may run my M-Tech1 at test and tune. It's my wife's birthday and we may do something besides race. At least that's what I am told so far ;)

I was driving the silver 325. I looped it on my 1st run!. Cold new victoracers + new to rearwheel drive = slow times but fun to watch!

Nice video Josh! I really like your in car camera setup.
Watching your runs reminds me of how I almost got lost on my first run, and took the wrong way through on my second. Dohhhh.
My only clean run placed my 89 e30 3rd in PAX for the day since I was novice hahahhaaa. I just think it's funny.

Who's planning on going to the test and tune?
