    Sparco Speed or Corbeau Forza / A4 ?

    I am selling my oem cloth sport seats and getting a pair of aftermarket seats, most likely a fixed driver and adjustable passenger seat or maybe a matching set.

    Looking into Corbeau Forza / A4 or Sparco Speed , or momo start

    Any comments and suggestions on best place to order them from ? Not sure if soloracer.com does free s/h on seats but I'll call them.

      I have no experience with the Momo.

      A friend of mine has Forzas in his Trans Am and I hate them. Especially if you drive for any length of time. They are cheap though.

      I have the Sparco Speeds in my car and I love them. I am able to drive 2+ hours at a time with no back problems. They are a very narrow seat, way more so than the Forza, but with me being 6'2" and 155 they fit me fine. I do wish the headrest went up a little higher on the Speeds, but they are ok.

      Needless to say I vote for the Speeds.

        i have a momocourse fixed bucket seat in my car, and i love it. durable, can sit in it forever with no problems, and most of all, it keeps your ass planted, keeping your hands free to drive the car.

        But the sparco speeds arent bad either.

          i had the sparco speed and they were awesome on the track, but for daily day drving it can get old, quick!

              What are your plans for the car? Is it your daily driver? Will it be for the foreseeable future? Will you be using race harnesses with it? Or something like the Schroth Quick-fits or Profi II with ASM?

              All these questions and more need to be answered before you spend anything on seats.

                - It's not a daily, but it's a street legal car that I have to drive to the events, sometimes an hour each way. It's a project car of mine that I've been slowly building for autox use (SM), and it will see some HPDE events at Thunderhill in the near future.

                - It's my understand that I can still use stock seatbelts with aftermarket seats, fixed back or adjustable . I don't plan on putting a cage in the car. I'll get whatever harnesses I need to do the job right, but would like to keep stock harnesses in place for driving the car to and from the events if possible.

                  Also, if you're not running a roll bar, either get a folding seat, or a seat that is FIA approved. The FIA approved seats meat certain back strength requirements that the SFI rated seats don't. And you don't want a fiberglass seat shattering with you in it in a reward collision.

                  Be sure to check with whichever group you plan on doing track events with to make sure about their requirements as well (some don't allow fixed-back seats without a roll bar).

                        The only piece of advice I can give is to buy from a local place. Fitment is an issue sometimes and if you buy over the net, you're pretty much screwed.
                        I always sit in the seat I buy....or seriously try to.

                          I am looking for a shop to try as many different seats as possible, so far found one with the A4 seats. I might just go with A4 seats for now if I like how they fit etc since my car doesn't have a roll bar or a cage.

                            I had SRD's in my previous E30 and loved them. Very comfortable on long drives and plenty of support at the track. I bought from Speedware and was very pleased. When I'm ready to order, I wont hesitate to call them again.

                              Recaro Speeds or Momo Starts. depends on folding or fixed but both feel (and look) great with good support and comfort
