Will i fit in a recaro srd?

Chances are probbaly not. Im a big guy and i would like to get a folding seat for the track. I really like the recaro srd and id like to buy one before they sell out. Anyone got any suggestions on a seat and or if the recaro is comfortable? Are they smaller or wider than a stock sport seat?

Also anyone know where to buy one for a good price? I dont mind if it is used.

I am 6 foot and about 230lbs and they fit me very well. I love those seats. They are very comfortable. I rode in a car for like 5+ hours and felt fine after it. They are probably equal to the sport seat in the ass region. Very supportive.

If I was you, I'd go to a local speed shop and sit in a few of their demo seats, and decide from there. SRD's are nice - I'm a 6'+, 210#'er - and I like mine too, but it's all personal taste/fit.

What's that line about SRD's selling out? What do you know there - Recaro planning to quit production or something?

It's not how you handle the good times, but the faith you keep in the bad that defines you.

Yeah the new recaro speed is replacing the srd. Its like the v2.0 of it. Ive been to local shops and no one has demo seats. Unfortunatly im bigger than you guys. :( Any idea where to buy?

I've got those locked up. I'm sending cash after we get shipping set. They're going in my Landcruiser.

Do you have any where to test fit seats? (local performance shop maybe??) Ours in Columbus is Auto Assets. They have about a dozen seats that you can try out. I am 6'1 265lbs the widest part is my chest so it made some of the seats with the upper bolsters uncomfortable. All the seats fit my waist though. You really need to just sit in them.

Ha - yeah, no big complaints here - and even if I did, nobody would be listenin'. I was impressed I found those Transformer pics on my HD, I thought they all got lost when my last computer crashed.

i'm a pretty big guy. Likely bigger (around at least) than likely anyone who's posted thus far.

i'm rocking a recaro Sport - its nice for a daily driver, as the bottom bolsters aren't huge like the SRD, but the shoulders and upper body are nicely bolstered. This helps, as a big guy's weight is on his torso, and that's what's going to be moving around on turns.

The seat seems just a tick wider than the srd though, and its perfect for me. They're normally expensive, like $1k each, but i got mine as a floor model for $200.

however, i have sat in an SRD - it was definitely tight, but not uncomfortable. Can't speak for long distance in it unfortunately.

here at the Recaro shop in my town, i sat in one and thought it was WAY too big. so i asked the guy and he told me that they come in 3 sizes. like a small, medium and a large. i was sitting in the large seat. then again im 5'6", 145.. (yea yea)

new they want 600 euro per seat. that like 900 USD
