    interested in 15x10 wheels?

    If you have any interest in a good, light 15x10 wheel for auto-x or track use, check this email I received:

    In response to the few but very vocal drivers out there wanting me to build a 15x10 6UL...

    You guys have until November 16, 2007 to lock in 50 sets at $209 per wheel, that’s 200 wheels. Tell a friend!

    This doesn’t mean I’m definitely making them or taking orders now. This means you 275 lovin’ crazies need to be ready to buy them on November 16th. I'd like contact info emailed before then to get a firm list. This fitment will be more like a group buy since I won’t invest in tooling or samples until I know I have the neccessary buyers. I hope I do because I want a set too. CAD renderings late December, pre-production samples to show pics of maybe in January, giant shiny new wheels in March.

    * The weight will be around 15.5#

    * 4x100 bolt pattern only

    * 59.1mm hub center

    * Exact offset is yet to be determined but the goal is to put the inner sidewall of the 275 Hoosier on the rear of a Miata as close to the chassis as possible, about .3” . That means you’ll need spacers in front to clear the shock tower bulge and big ARB’s. So far that looks like about +30 or 6.5” backside measured to lip.

    * They’ll clear Wilwood BBK’s for those using them on track cars. The 15x10 would have about a 2 ¼” lip.

    * Any color you like as long as it’s silver with machined lip.

    * Shipping will run $35-$80 for US lower 48.

    Post your m.net user name or initials and zip, and number of wheels wanted and we can all watch the progress in this forum thread.

    Emilio has an excellent product, check out his website or search www.miata.net. I don't know how the backspacing falls for an e30, just passing on the info.

    What do you plan on running for tires 245-50-15? Never mind missed the 275 mentioned.

      I knew I should have linked that.

      The tire availability is why I posted this here instead of the wheel section.

        The backspacing is too deep for E30 fitment. I belive you want ~5" backspacing to clear the strut in the front.

          I was looking forward to that wheel but he's a Miata boy.

            Yeah he's going to want a ridiculously conservative offset too.

            I was excited for a moment too.

              ...and Diamond makes 15x10's (steelies) for about 150 a wheel with the custom 45 degree lug nuts. 18 lbs, and you'll want 5" backspacing, from what others tell me. any pics of a non-m with 10 in wide wheels all around?
