    Autox on mismatched tires

Well, due to an unfortunate set of events, my only set of usable tires are my chrome (ballin!) bottlecaps, with undersized/mismatched tires.

I put the two with the most tread up front, but the front passenger is 195 and driver side is 185, and they are different brands. On the back I've got two 185 yokos, with vastly different tread wear.

What kind of handling characteristics can I expect from my car? Should be fun either way :)

if you have LSD thats probably bad for it, vastly different tread wear.

      Expect understeer...and lots of it.

Not that it will matter much at all (if this is your first event), but if you end up getting into autocross you would want to know a couple of things. Assuming the tires are similar in type and age, you would be better off putting the tires with less tread at the front to try and reduce understeer. But ya, its not good for your diff to miss-match the rears.

Just know that one of the biggest mistakes most drivers make when they start out is that they go too fast into the slow corners and too slow in the fast ones. Look into that more and you will do well, walk the course at least 3 times.

Understeer looks retarded and its not fast so do everything you can to avoid it.

I've done about a dozen autocrosses, so I'm not really new to this whole thing. I've just never done it on mismatched tires, shitty tires.

My RT615s should be here by the next autox though.
