    I totally agree with you. But this insn't an LT1 V8. ;).
    I'm shooting for 300 to the ground of useable HP, and then I'll go from there.....If I don't lose bottom end punch I'll try and get more, but we'll see......FWIW with deeper gearing and the ability to rev to the moon, you'll still have 'area under the curve', just the curve won't start until later, and end later...................

    In any event what's saving the e30's ass IMO is it's ability to be much lighter than an E36 or the AWD rally cars.....

      OK I double checked the 08' rules, and a 2.5L turbocharged E30 needs to weigh 2,580lbs. Forced induction adds 1.4L to the displacement calculations....
      RWD=1,800lbs +200lbs per litre.

      As far as I can see you should be able to have a 2580lb SM E30 with a REARward weight bias. Even with a turbocharger. Especially if it's an autox only car (which a competitive SM car will be anyways)

        The Sm rules are getting silly complicated.

          The rules have been relatively consistent I think....It's just some national level autox SM cars are finally utilizing the allowances
