    Open day at Hockenheimring

    WAS A RAGING BLAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It took me 3 years to drive 20 minutes to the track which is close by my house. I do regret it took me that damn long and showed me some things I have to upgrade on the baby and testing the stuff I have done so far. There were some vicious rides starting from about 10 Porsche GT3's (one was an RS) 7 Lotus Elise, a '07 M5 and a E28 M5, an E30 M3 and several E30's to include mine, a couple of E36 M3's which one was a 4 door and was track purpose built, a E92 M3(He didn't run though) a E46 M3 CSL, a American Dodge Viper 'vert, and the list goes on and on. I will be going a couple of times more and the plan with my partner later will be going to Nurnburgring soon. For right now enjoy some the pics of the E30's that were there. The rest can be seen here of all the other cars. http://s161.photobucket.com/albums/t...eim/?start=all

this E30 was fast as hell. It gave some Porsche GT3's a run for their money

Little bit of work I did on my engine (Mild polish and 19LB injectors too)

I can't leave the classic out....... Very clean and well kept

    Enjoy,

    Nick

The guy let me take pics of it. But when I asked him if I could see the engine, he had a mile wide grin and said it's a secret. It came in a trailer. When he went out, he was the first to make the opening lap and it took about 7 seconds before the first Porsche GT3 showed up.

Nice pics, it sounds like you had a blast.

I realize the green cabrio has an M30 in it, but "Bad Boy" on the hood? Mmkay.

Opening lap thou, no sense destroying your 100K euro car on the first lap and it's not warmed up. How was the car doing say, 20 laps later?

What were you using for a camera? Never mind just looked at what P bucket listed. Lower resolution correct?

I know Vac, the "Bad Boy" part did look somewhat gay.

SV, These guys (the ones with the more expensive toys) weren't waiting for them to warm up. Once they cleared pit road, they had their foot mashed alll the way to the front bumper. I left after the E30 made it's 4th lap and the closest one that was getting to him was a Lotus Elise. I had the Kodak family cam but had to lower the res so the pics would fit and not take so much space

Sorry BT, a little too cold for that. But i'll make sure I take some pics of the hotties next time.

when is the next open track event there? maybe I will have to make my way there.
I had no idea they even had open days there.
BAD BOY is a car club(mostly U.S. soldiers) in that area where the plates are from on that vert. maybe that is why it had that on the hood.

Nice. It's starting to itch. Three months before the track season kicks in here.
Brake harder. Go faster. No shit.

Mike, looks like this Sunday will be the last open track for a while. I will find out some more and let you know. A friend of mine was the one that coaxed me into going. I wished I would've gone earlier.
