May 3-4 | San Diego BMWCCA Autocross | Qualcomm

    San Diego BMWCCA Autocross
    May 3-4, 2008

LOCATION: Qualcomm West Lot (San Diego)

    ONLINE REGISTRATION:
    http://sdbmwcca.motorsportreg.com/

    TIMES
    6:30 AM gates open
    7:00 AM tech opens
7:00 AM registration opens with priority to BMW and MINI owners
7:30 AM registration opens to non-bmws, any BMW/MINIs arriving after 7:30 are processed in order with the non-bmw's.
    8:20 AM tech closes
    8:30 AM registration closes

FIRST COME FIRST SERVED. 100 car limit

SD BMWCCA events have a history of filling up early. Plan on arriving before the 7 AM registration formally opens to get a number at the gate.

You must be a BMWCCA member ($40 and totally worth it for the Roundel magazine and the chapter newsletters)

Cost for one day is $50 per day or $95 for both!

Look carefully at the sign-up options. Saturday will be conducted in the normal format, with practice by color group in the morning, timed competition runs in the afternoon by car class, and trophies presented to winners at the end. Ten slots are reserved for non-BMW cars on Saturday.

Sunday will run by color group all day with no timing or trophies, BUT after the first practice we will connect the course into a loop and run the wildly popular continuous laps! We'll also allow an unlimited number of non-BMWs (up to the 100 car limit). Those who sign up for both days get first priority for the available slots on Sunday. You may run a different car on each day; bring your BMW on Saturday.

Let's try to get some more E30's to come out then the past times.

You can show up and watch for free. You just have to sign a release to get in. You might even be able to get a ride with an instructor in their car (more releases to sign of course). But to participate, you need to be a current BMWCCA member and you are expected to show up with documentation to prove it.

Signing up for bmwcca is well worth it. You do not have to attend 2 days for this event and alot of us are attending on sunday. You also get issues of the roundle mazagines when you sign up for bmacca and the ability to attend around 6-8 autocross's a year.

damn it coouuper! why you gotta go on bimmerfest! lol! we'll go to the next one... i'll PM for the next CA speedway event. I'd post it here on r3v, but the community doesn't want to have plenty of outsiders 'cuz outsiders don't know much about the rules and they don't want to fill everything up, hehe... it's a small growing community with lots of PAX drivers and Pro drivers that competes nationally who can teach you how to handle your car as well... dude, ditch that and roll with us to bimmerfest! lol! we'll go to the next auto-x right after that; i think it's the following weekend at CA speedway

I won't make it to this one. I had to save the money for next weekends event at streets of willow. There is another on in June coming up that I will be going to. I will post info on that one in a few weeks.

                        Have fun.

Hey, thanks Coouuper S, will definitely say hi. I'll be in an e90 330i.

                            Ronald

EDIT: so I went and ran an e90 330i. first time for me and was very excited. Saw a couple of e30s there, anyone from here? Didn't get to chat really as I was very concentrated on my car/driving.
