Excited for my new safety device!!!

Well the time finally came that my track speeds have increased and I have started instructing. As you may well know sitting in the passenger seat of an HPDE is not the safest thing so I wanted to get the HANS Device. I shopped around and finally found my way to www.apexperformance.net and was amazed at the service and experience they had with the device! I was even able to work out a sponsorship deal and got another member on board for what I think will be some big time club racing ;)

The peace of mind for myself, my fiancee(2 months till wife) and my future family is worth every cent this device gives me. It protects me in that "wost case" scenario and I am happy to have that!

If you have HANS questions or are interested in the device please do not hesitate to email my direct contact at Apex Performance.

    Excited!!!

As someone who has been instructing for some years now, I think you might be a bit disappointed. I can count on one hand the number of students I've had over the years that actually had a HANS-compatible seat and harness set on the passenger side. Most of the guys with HANS-compatible seats and harnesses are racers (with no passenger seat at all) or very advanced drivers. These are not generally the folks who you'll be spending a lot of time with in-car at an HPDE weekend.

I understand that it might not always work out but it will be nice to have it when I can :)

Ok, the HNR might not be that effective when riding with a student, but half of the OP's DE sessions are going to be in his own car.

"Excited" will soon turn into PITA tho.

It's worth noting that there are other HNR options too. The R3 HNR is a little easier to wear in other people's cars. The R3 doesn't have a sliding strap yet tho.

Once the OP cleans up his signature, I say more power to him.

Clean up my signature? I don't understand.

Also after this season of DE's I will be racing and HNR is something I need. Safety is NEVER a PITA. For me atleast that is the case.

Do you walk around in a firesuit at the schools?

No actually I don't. I don't see why you feel the need to make fun of me? I guess it sucks that I have sponsors that pay for my work and supply me with brakes? I guess I am stupid because I care about my personal safety and my future as well as the my fiancee and future family?

                    God I am an idiot.

Sorry I won't post anymore of my track items or anything related to the track because it is not good enough for you.

What's the R3 like when it comes to side to side movement? I've put the standard HANS on a few times, and the lack of lateral movement is an inconvienience to say the least.

Yea, it was the fixed teather model.

Hmmm I tried them all and the nice thing about the QD is while driving around at low speed you can just have it disconnected and then connect it back for the track.
