Redline Time Attack, Summit Point Raceway, August 16th-17th

This year's Redline Time Attack at Summit Point Raceway is quickly approaching! We know there are a few BMW owners making the trip to compete and have a great time. We just wanted to be sure all of you knew about the event.

Redline Time Attack has been growing by leaps and bounds this year!

For some great event coverage check out the websites of a couple of our media partners:

Saturday is an Open Track day open to non competitors for some fun track time. Sunday is the Time Attack day, with practice in the morning and competition in the afternoon.

Spectator admission is only $15/weekend, with vendors, car show, spectator ride alongs, music, top teams and drivers, media, Television and much more!

If you are part of the redline time attack group I got a question for you, I am planning on attending the Redline Time Attack at GTLive VIR and was wondering if there is anything I need for the street class in terms of membership to any sanctioning body or anything like that?

There is no membership required and no licensing requirements for Street or Modified Class.

I got the weekend off, so I just might make it out there. Can you recommend any motels that are close by?

i used to frequent Summit Point whe i lived in the area- if any of you haven't made it out there- i highly recommend it. the facility has a great, low-key and accessible (for spectators) feel to it and now it's even better with the mini Nurburging. wish i could make it for this new event.

Mike- Charlestown and Shepardstown are nearby, they might have some decent accomodations- the prior has a great chinese restaurant on the main drag
