BMWs are most welcome at Roebling Road Raceway for Nov 8-9

The Dark Side Driving Events have been organizing two DEs a year at Roebling Road Raceway - in Bloomingdale, GA (very close to the SC border off of I-95) since 2001.

Our charity is the Boys & Girls Club of Hilton Head - and the kids will be with us Saturday, Nov 8 -- for classroom, lunch and a family parade. Even if you don't want to join in on the DE - but find yourself wanting something to do -- why not help out and line up your BMW on the grid, and let a kid jump in for a lap or two? (40 mph, no passing, no helmet required.)

Then again, you may want to sign up for our Driver Ed. Known to some as more than just track time - it's a social time too. With Friday night hospitality and Saturday at the track BBQ.

Feel free to ask questions --
    Applications are available at: www.darksidede.com

I ran an event with these guys a few years ago. And if they are half as much fun as they were then, it'll still be one of the best event you go to all year.

Not to mention... the new surface at RRR makes this one of the best (and fastest) tracks in the southeast.

This gets the BeerTech seal of approval

Scott - that was back in May of 2005!
And I think, in my humble opinion - we are still fun to be with.

Thank you for the BeerTech seal of approval - I let Byron know we "earned" it! LOL

So... to business... coming back this November? Sounds like the 88 E30 might have some fun out there. (BTW - did you hear, I no longer drive the Porsche - I have a BMW 330i - yep cool....)

            P.S. I thought I'd add this announcement:

            Good News.

If you were scared of doing Driver Eds because your insurance company would not insure you - fear not. Our group, The Dark Side has been approved as an HPDE by Lockton-Affinity, and you can now, if you are a participant, insure your car for our 3-day event, all at one handy dandy price. If you are interested - we've posted some details at:
darksidede.com is your first and best source for all of the information you’re looking for. From general topics to more of what you would expect to find here, darksidede.com has it all. We hope you find what you are searching for!

and from there you can click on articles and other info. All other questions can be addressed to our agent, Ryan Staub. Thank you.

and PPS - the new avatar - that's the lapel pin we will be giving out this November - oh the pressure....

The folks that run The Darkside are a really good group. If you are thinking about learning how to drive, instead of just talking $hit, this is a terrific way to start. Not to mention that Roebling is a really safe place to learn.

But if you're scared, just say so.

Driver's Education events are for learning. Unmodified street cars are fine. The only exception is some convertables. Go have the greatest time in your life.

I thought that I was going to be at the Dark Side's 7Nov track day, but it's looking like I'll be doing 6Nov at Carolina Motorsports Park instead.

Can't do 8-9Nov because wife is out of town so I've got the kids.

Scott - sorry you missed the lapping day - everyone got 4 hours of time on the track... the weather was great.

The shirts are going over big - and people smile at the lapel pin. Sorry you aren't here -- not rubbing it in at all :-)

                      Luis, see you tomorrow....

Ah, back to the Monday morning work ethic...
