After a great DE event last year i couldn't deny myself another go at nearly the most fun i've had in my life!! I'm wondering if anyone from here will be driving the other 3x e30's or some of the other bmw.s at the event. There's about 82 porsches reg'd so i sneaked myself in there as you can see.
-_- you have until the 13th to reg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have some work to do before then, for starters i need to install rear tires, need to weld another exhaust mounting point, install a brake bias valve and bleed the system with AP brake fluid. Other than that i'm ready for another 175minutes of track time!! hopefully the new brakes won't overheat this time ; / ...i highly doubt it if my stock ones handled 90% of the event.
Last year i ran with a bone stock m20, 205/60-14s and the same suspension i have right now minus the bushings and camber plates. I would keep up; maybe passed a couple; porsche boxters a 95m3 and a couple of the carrera guys who didnt want to push their cars...everyone else probaly lapped me. I'm in the 'novice class'. This year i'm showing up with an s52, e36M3 brakes, 225/35-17f s-drives 225/45-17r...i have 245/45(or40idk)-17's so i'm debating on whichones to use.
Hopefully myself, mycar and everyone round my car will return unharmed with plenty of media to share
