    Disable central locking?

Anyone disable their central locking on their track car? Mine is acting screwy and I just want to disable it to avoid any problems. Last thing I need is not being able to get out of the car door for some reason after a crash.

I also seem to remember reading something about the doors all unlocking automatically in a crash as well. Not sure if that is true or not.

Good idea or not to disable it?

And what is a good way to disable it?

I yanked the entire system out. The downside is that you can no long lock the drivers door from outside with the key. The tumbler for that door is more of a switch than a physical lock, it singals the central locking system and the actuator locks the door.

Could you use a passenger door lock cylinder on the drivers side to retain locking?
