Also don't mind the bolt they are just used for mockup. New ones are on their way.

We are going to have to use an after market bolt on sway bar bracket onto the strut itself.
The struts we are using are E36 328i Group N struts and they don't have a sway bar attachment point, and I'm incredibly wary of welding onto the tube itself, or am I being overly cautious?

Take the shock out and then weld?We are going to have to use an after market bolt on sway bar bracket onto the strut itself.

I am very surprised an aftermarket strut on the E36 didn't come with the endlink tabs in the first place.

If that isn’t a cartridge type design and that shock tube is the OD of the strut, I'm going to assume those motorsport dampers are re-buildable, pull them apart and then weld the sta-bar tabs. If it’s a mono-tube make sure you haven’t locally deformed the ID of the tube at the sta-bar attachment.Comment
