Whoa, $32 more per tire than the XS on the 15".

I'm slow to this one, is it hyped as the best of the best or actually shown to be? I can't believe how much action there is in this tire category right now.

so far it's pretty much all hype. japan has had it for almost a year now, and its the hottest ticket over there. but they are very bridgestone biased (japanese brand).

the best way to find out is to wait out a season of SCCA. the new champion will be known by then. im ready to take a chance with the RE-11. i can't see them being worse than the RE-01R's which were very much in the race already. im just hoping the re-11 price will come down a tad.

lol yeah, I've always loved the hype as the tires roll in. After years of learning the hard way, I've convinced myself to be patient and follow the SCCA podiums.

I'm usually in for the underdogs, like the new NT-05. Of course, their smallest size is a 235/40/17. Hmmm.

Yeah, I Bridgestones have always been expensive! I guess they're like a Japanese Michelin.

Dang, that really needs to be 205/55/15, but at least its 15" now.

50's are fine. older e30s came with the same height in tires as the 50's.

True. I've always been happy with Bridgestone quality and performance with the exception that every set I've ever owned have flat spotted if left for more than a couple weeks. Not a huge deal, but on my last 911 (that would sit for 2-3 weeks at a time) it would take 10-15 miles before they would smooth out.

Yup, and DTD has them on sale, at least according to their web site. I'm thinking of trying these, but it looks like they are molded shallower 7/32nds than most other tires.

I know. I just like the way the 55's fill out the fenders better.

I doubt this will happen, the RE01R's were somewhat affordable when they came out in 07 and then prices ballooned significantly after they caught on with autocrossers.

thats not great. i thought they would have brought them down to compete with the dunlops.

lol, so now I'm hearing about the Hankook R-S3. I can't do this anymore.

Hankook is claiming 30% dry grip increase. If it's half that and it comes in 225/50/15 again then that will be the E30 ringer.

When is the RS3 coming out? I've been looking around for my next tire (15") as I only have a few track days of tread left on my current set. These look like a good option, only a bit expensive. I wonder how they compare grip-wise with the Kumho XS and Hankook RS2.
