icons not visible, suggestions?

I upgraded to explorer 8 and now I can not see any of the icons on the site? Like the New thread botton or the smilies or the clipboards that are in front of all of the thread listings.

Any idea of how to fix this? I even tried monzilla fire fox and a no go?
