500 error when replying

Good morning. I'm getting a 500 Internal Server Error when posting replies to threads. Doesn't happen every time, but pretty frequently. Not sure if it's just when I'm at home (Comcast ISP, Mac OS X 10.6.1, Safari 4.0.3; I know I'm behind on my updates), but that's where I've noticed it most frequently. Doesn't seem to happen at work (XP, Firefox). Can the admins see any errors from a few minutes ago originating from the IP I'm posting this from?

It happens when the forums software is back up the database or cleaning it up I believe. It starts around 2am and usually is good by about 3am.

I attached the screenshots from when I get the error (which I got when creating this thread…) and from when I hit ⌘-R.

I get this problem also. Sometimes after about 5pm R3V will lock up and cause my comp to freeze. Doesnt happen on any other sites but this one.

I get the same thing here. Haven't noted if it's at similar times though.

Happens in NZ too, around 9pm till midnight.

George explained it pretty well in the first reply, it's an artifact of server updating/forum backup, pretty much happens for everyone and typically only happens at a certain time of night. Not sure why people are still discussing this.
