Chatbox?

Have you guys ever thought about having a chatbox? I think it would be great for members to just hang out and talk about w.e. Just a suggestion. Thanks.

Other forums ive been on have them. Most are dead, but this forum is active pretty much 24/7. I think it would be a great idea. There will always be your dumb asses but times like this at night (3am) ppl can go there and talk rather wait 8 hours for a response .

made one like this one we've been using on another forum...we can also separate them into sub cat's, and stickified to the top of whatever each sub category (regional chats?)

Ehhh not enough people to do a regional chat. I personally think it will take a lot of the off topic out of good threads. Not all of it, but it will help. It will also minimize dumb threads. ( what’s the button next to the window switches do etc. ) People can ask short questions in the chatbox and get a answer quickly. I say try it for 1 month and see what happens.

An old forums I used to be on would have a weekly chat, it was like sundays from 5-10. Was pretty cool.

I know the bulletin board systems(the software used to run this site) do have a chat feature, its a live chat at the top of the main index. Any member logged in can see and respond to it real time at any time of the day.

Its awesome on the smaller board that i go on that has it...Usually random spontaneous discussion, one minute it will be dead, the next 5 or 6 people will be having a discussion.

although a large board like this it may get out of hand.

^ its r3v. Its always out of hand. Since most of the mods want most members to not go off topic. A chatbox would really help.
