"e30 M3 rust repair" move to Project Forum?

I feel the e30 M3 minor rust repair thread should be moved to the Project Forum.

Anyone who’s read it knows that xworks took the thread way, way, WAY beyond rust repair and body work..

It truly is a most epic thread. I didn’t even catch it in the Body & Paint section until recently.

(.. and xworks should probably be sent a notification that it has been moved – if it is moved.)

Why does it matter where it is? Granted, it probably should have been started in the projects subforum, but since it wasn't then why change it?

meh.. just seems more appropriate there..

and like I said - I didn't even catch it in body and paint section there.

But you're right - it's got enough hits on it where it is - that that is where people expect it to be.

I suppose we could ask the guy how he feels about it..

Because I don't have an M car - and because I don't care to do a bunch of reading on body/rust repair - the thread totally went under my radar.

But then when I did read it - sheeeit, it was just f'ing amazing - and it'd be a shame if others missed it like I did at first. So much to learn about e30s all together.

I guess I'm saying it would get the exposure it deserves if it were in the project forum.

I mean, shit - it was evidently remarkable enough for me to make a suggestion at least..

+1. Move it to the Projects Forum so others can find/learn/enjoy. The title is misleading.

I say sticky it as well as move it. He has far surpassed everybody on here on a restoration. And I kinda wouldn't mind if someone made a book out of it. No joke, some of those sections are invaluable.

The transmission overhaul alone is one of the best walk through i have ever seen be it in a service manual or online

Yeah, I told him he should write a book, because everyone would buy it. I have followed it forever on s14 and didn't realize it was on here until he told me it was on my build thread on e30tech. It is epic and should be stickied and moved, both. Much more exposure than what it's gotten and it is a project, not just bodywork, Lol! Just my 2 cents...

No, it's in the correct forum. I would never have seen it in the projects forum because that's where people floss their new wheels. It's unbelievably topical in body & paint and I can't imagine putting it anywhere else. Technical content should be in the appropriate technical forum.
