    Changing thread titles - Help!!!!

I can't seem to do this on my threads. In particular, I tried to change a FS thread title to show the item was sold - does not actually change the thread title - just the title of the first post.

    Am I missing something here?

You should be able to click edit, and go into the title there and add or delete whatever. Not sure what your trouble is.

Look at the H&R Race springs thread - I change it and it only changes the title of the first entry - not the thread itself.

But are you going into the title portion? you have to go back to the first post, and in the title section, edit there.

That is exactly what I am doing. Going to first post and editing the title.

Not sure then, but I'll fix it for you.

Well, no I won't Dave, lol. It is doing the same thing to me. I opened it up and it was already done. James will have to look at it.

It is the same thing that happens on bimmerforums.com . Really annoying.

Figured out you have a Thread Tools option at the top of the thread that has a drop down menu with an option that allows title edits. Not sure if this only applies to Mods though, check it and see.

That is not an option for me. Make me a Mod so I can do that.;-)

Can you guys change the setup so anyone can change the title of their own thread? This would help especially in the FS area - so we can mark them sold, etc.

I've been noticing the problem too, forgot to mention it. Atleast Dave is ontop of things. :)
