    Feedback Link

    2 part idea

First. It's not easy to find a member's thread and leave feedback in the current section we have. So... You know how when you click on someone's name and have the options to send them PM/email/view profile/etc... There should be a link in that list to leave/view transaction feedback. (Hell, it could be as simple as linking to their personal feedback thread that already exists).

Second. Anyone who wants to buy/sell should have to do a secondary registration to post in the classifieds section. No fees, but it would eliminate the whole spam/post-count-to-sell debate. This would also be the perfect time to start what might be a currently non-existant feedback thread for newbs. Also, if there's a way to do a running poll on the feedback thread, that would give users the ability to add a simple thumbs up or thumbs down.

Downside, more work for r3v staff (if that's even a legitimate category of folks here).

Run it into the ground fellow r3v'ers :D

If this happens, it will save my sig a lot of space.

    Food for thought.

The secondary reg is completely unnecessary though.

I really liked how zilvia.net set up their transaction feedback (AND F/S Threads, REQUIRING you to put in a state.)

It's really not that difficult to find a member's thread in the transaction feedback forum.

      1. Use the search function and type in their username!

      OR

      2. Sort the forum by thread title, this will show it in alphabetical order and will make it fairly easy.

Okay, yes. These are 2 ways to go about it. Both simple enough, but a little time consuming. Just imagine you're in a for sale thread and want to see what kind of feedback a person has... BAM, click on their name and you're there. Alternatively, making it easier for people to leave feedback will increase the amount of feedback that gets left. Even with the link in my sig people don't leave feedback after buying stuff from me. Oh well, C'est la vie...

I dont see how typing in a persons username in the search function in the transaction forum is time consuming.

I think you're underestimating your average forum-goer's laziness. It might not be time consuming at all, but if it ain't served on a silver platter, people aren't going to put in any extra effort. Hell I bet more than half the users on this forum don't even know the suggestion section exists because it's south of the classified section...

Is it really that hard to put a hyperlink in the dropdown menu that does an auto search in the transaction feedback forum for the given user's name? I don't know PHP, but this seems like a pretty simple task.

I know how lazy people are on here. Most cant get out of the General Discussion

And i have no idea how hard it is to put in this option. I dont speak computer, and the site owner is the one who has the final say on this stuff anyways.
