Yeah mine says I have 63 unread, but they are all old and read and replied to.

mine has said 6 unread forever.... so i dont need to check unless it says 7 or more

go to the last page of your PM's select all and at the bottom drop down menu select "mark as read".... repeat on all pages of PM's until unread messages reads 0
