Nothing is changing until we upgrade Vbulletin, which has been a nightmare due to database issues.

Have not had the time to figure it out.

Is it really that annoying that you can't look past it for a little bit? We're not on here 24/7 purely to clean up spam, just let it be and we'll get to it when we see it.

I always view the thread and mark it as spam. Instead of overlooking help out the Mods guys. With personal experience helping with the forum, you have no idea there is even any spam. Most of it comes REALLY early in the morning with all of West coast mods/admins are sleeping. JasonC is always busy with work, and he is our only really active East coast mod now.

Give them a break, help out or just ignore it. The spam does not do anything more than you having to see 2-5 new threads. Most of you post in the PNW/Nor-Cal regional chats and I have been in those a few times...spam is better than there ;)

Yeah, we do have a life outside of here. I hit them on my lunch break (2:30am EST) and when I get home from work (6:30-9:00am EST). And or when I see them during the day.

Is there a way normal members can delete the spam threads? I work night audit at a hotel in AZ so i'm awake when they just post them. If there is a way I can delete them I will spend the 8 hours of nothing i do to delete these threads.

Only thing normal members can do it report the spam. Under the avatar next to the online dot is a caution triangle. Click it and report it as spam. When I was a mod it would report it in my email address and bring me to the link directly. Mods/Admins are the only members that can clean. But we can do our part to report it.

Danny is a spam clean up monster. Him and I would have it all gone almost as soon as it was posted.

It honestly does not hinder anything here. They handle it within the hour and keep it under control. Just enjoy the free forum that is second to none for any BMW info!

Thanks for all the hard work guys. I know for one how much spam and shit that you have to deal with from members. Also the level you have to keep to retain a clean professional image to rep this wonderful place.

The only bad thing about these spammers IMO is that some of them take the good names.
