Confused N00b: Difference between Members Rides & Project forum?

What's the difference between these two forums? Not sure I've experienced this difference on other forums I've been on.

The project forum is to specifically show your progress on your car such as restoring or modifying it, and just posting on the "members rides" is just to show it off/share your ride. They're really similar, but if you click on the project section you'll see a lot of threads that don't show up on the members ride section immediately.
