Mods, I have a question...

Since I was put in timeout for a couple weeks, it seems as though on my bmw332i account, I can no longer see the "Forum News & Suggestions" section. Now, is this because I am banned for the two weeks, or because I'm no longer permitted to post news or suggestions forever? When I use a proxy server, I can see the section just fine. When I am eventually un-banned will I be able to make suggestions and post news? Any mod may respond to this question in an adult manner.

Oh, and I do think I deserve to know the reason I was banned. "None" is not a reason. I refuse to believe it was because of my abrasive behavior. I can think of many people who are way more rude and abrasive than I am. Like Avi, Blunt, or even your venerable leader, Jordan. It smacks of 1930's Germany.

When you are unbanned your account will be exactly as it was before.

The reason you were banned is becasue of how you went about giving us your suggestions. Constructive criticism works better than telling us we have no balls.

EDIT - If you have specific questions about your account we prefer going through PMs. Just PM any of the mods and we would be happy to answer your questions.

Edit: I still think it would have been more mature on the mods part if I had had a warning before the banning, but hey, que sera sera.

I think Scott told you to knock it off. The banning did not happen after the first attack, it happend after you continued to post attack after attack. And come on, it was only a 2 week timeout and are we banning this account you are using right now?

Jordan has no role in the leadership of this site. His member title reflects what he is, which is the founder, and nothing more. And opinions of people like Blunt and Avi would carry some weight around here if they chose to be contributing members of this site, which they've shown time and time again they clearly aren't. I'm sorry to sound harsh. I've always liked Blunt, and been envious of his car, but he's always been very rude to me for not much of a good reason. And Avi is another story altogether.

As you have clearly shown with this post, you're perfectly capable of having a constructive and useful converstation on here.

I was hoping that was the case, and it seems that giving you a TO was one way of getting you to show it.

Your last thread was distasteful and disrespectful. I saw pages of posts from you spouting off insults from lacking the proper sack to having no spine, and chose to do what I did because of it. I didn't expect you to agree with it, even though you seemed so unhappy to be a part of this board. But, it did seem to make some sort of impact, because here you are, on another name, and your attitude is quite different.

I'll unban the name now - and for the record, I did give you a reason, it was something along the lines of being disrespectful, being careful of what you accuse people of, and to find better ways to voice your concerns. Not sure why it didn't go through, but I'm sure I put it in.

You think putting me in TO was the resaon I did this? If it helps you sleep, believe whatever you want to believe. Or maybe it's because I don't believe that the First Ammendment only exists in the physical world. The deletion of thoughts, ideas, and statements by a select few in this forum does in fact remind me of Nazi Germany (I'm not calling you, or any other mod here a Nazi) and its' censorship in the 30's and 40's. You can't un-say something. When you choose to ignore 'truths', the Truth is sometimes put aside for political-correctness.

I thank you for un-banning my account now, even if it took Jordan saying it for it to happen. Oh, by the way, your reason was this, and I quote (even though the thread is gone, and I'm un-banned. You'll just have to take my word for it):

I thank you for un-banning my account now, even if it took Jordan saying it for it to happen.

Jordan handed over ownership of this site in September of 2005.

His say changes nothing and your timeout was not removed because he suggested it.

Anyway, glad we got this worked out, thanks.
