The name "R3VLIMITED"?

    The name "R3VLIMITED"?

    I always catch myself wondering why "R3VLIMITED". What's the story behind the name to this great and wonderful online E30 community?

      Um... I would guess "rev limiter" is implied, meaning a car being driven to it's limit, and the "3" is for either the 3 series or E30.

      "See, we're adding a little something to this month's sales contest. As you all know, first prize is a Cadillac Eldorado. Anyone wanna see second prize? Second prize is a set of steak knives. Third prize is you're fired."

              R3VLimit has been Jordan's AIM name for a long time, way before R3VLimited was ever formed, so I think he just went with that when he started up the new site.

                                  I thought "r3v" was when somebody wrecks their car being an idiot... I remember asking the same question a while ago.

                                      That has developed that meaning as so many asshats around here have stupidly wrecked their cars. Was it Josh who first got that tag? I dont remember . . .

                                          Yeah, I think that was me. Heeter or Avi came up with that, and it just stuck. I definitely deserved that one, that's for sure.
