    Forum layout

Can we make the forum layout more E30 relevant?

I don't know if this bothers anyone else...but I remember a time when getting even a 5-series sub-forum was strongly opposed but now it's above all the E30 sub-forums. Why?

I know Facebook is hurting online forums all around (which is unfortunate because the FB search feature SUCKS and no one uses it and posts the same question EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. But I digress).

But my suggestion is to have the following layout:

    -General
    -Regional
    -E30 technical
    -E30 classified (with M3 sub-forum here vs under the M3 sub-forum)
    -5-series
    -Others

    Thoughts?

I noticed this too. It's been the same way since I joined but it was something that I thought was odd as well. I'm down for a revisited front page! You have my vote!

I noticed this few weeks ago and I asked about it in this thread post #4, and got no response.

      Agree with you OP!

It happened a little over a month ago, I'm not to for sure if James (site owner) changed it or if it got changed somehow when the forum upgraded. I know I lost all my Admin abilities when it upgraded, but they are back now. Maybe James can chime in, cause I do think it was better before with the 5 series down lower. Cause after all the main focus of the forum is the e30.

^ I had assumed the 5 series section was misplaced when the touring section was added. I don't mind but it would make the most sense to lay it out how the OP has suggested

I feel the opposite. With the 5-series section where it was, it was DEAD all the time. Now that it is further up, it has perked up a bit and actually gets some posts.

^ Now that you mention it, that would explain why people have been posting gen tech stuff in the gen discussion section lately!
