I go to add photos to a post using the insert image tool with the flickr link and just get an "x" box. I tried just copying and pasting the link, but it just leaves the link and not the actual photo in the post. what do I need to do to get an actual image to show up in the post?
what am i missing when posting images?

You have to get the direct link to the image. I don't think flickr makes it easy for you.
Say you're on this flickr page: https://www.flickr.com/photos/spacex...260-1477354216
Hit the share button and on the embed tab you'll get this code:
<a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/spacex/16236321533/in/feed-130603260-1477354216" title="ORBCOMM"><img src="https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7631/16236321533_1216582801_b.jpg" width="1024" height="683" alt="ORBCOMM"></a><script async src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Code:https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7631/16236321533_1216582801_b.jpg
Code:[IMG]your_image_url_here[/IMG]

Method 1
Step 1:
Step 2:
Step 3:
Copy what's highlighted and paste it into your post for each image.Comment

Method 2
(this way results in images only, with no hyperlinks to your photo or profile)
Step A:
Step B:
Step C:
Step D:
Step E:
Paste the copied URL into the dialog box, then select "OK"
