posting-text between pics????????????

I cannot figure out how to get my text in between the photos I attach.
If I download 4 pics, they butt up against each other & I cannot write between them to describe the next photo...............help please

...or just use BB code. i'd give an example, but the forum software keeps on trying to parse it
