ANSWER: See how all forums are have a main category, then a sub-category of one or more?
For example the "Engine & Drivetrain" section has many different forums under the same banner. m10, m20, m30, ect...It is called a sub or "child" forum for each major forum...
Why? Well say you are searching for a tranny to buy for your s50 swap (that will never happen), you can then choose to narrow your search to the for sale section only, or you can get results of both the for sale and WTB at the same time...Handy right? ok not really - but it keeps us organized....
(BTW - you offend Jordan by even asking - he invented sub "child forums" - not vBulletin as some might suggest)
