I just think it would be a good way to get iX specific info right here on R3V instead of having to go to e30 tech, or especially the lame ass yahoo ix club.

Hear that, I belong to the Yahoo E30 iC users group and it fills up that mailbox faster than I can empty it. I put up with it as some good info/links come out of it now and again, just takes time to go through it all.

I recall a discussion on here in the past about a separate vert section on this forum, and the reasoning behind not doing it was as to not divide the R3V community. The thinking was that vert owners, or in this case iX people would spend there time in that section and not contribute to the rest of the forum, IIRC.

I dont think so. I am always looking for non-iX info as well. As a matter of fact, i spend most of my time here. But sometimes i do need technical info for my iX specifically.

Thats the thread I was referring to, not saying I agree or disagree with the idea, just that the idea of separate areas for different models has been kicked around before.

even a sub froum in the "Engine and Drivetrain" forum would be good, seeing as that is where the major differences lie in regards to the iX.
