    Need a driveshaft in So-cal!

My cousin just called me and he thinks the rear u-joint on his freshly rebuilt driveshaft just broke. I was wondering if anyone has one sitting around to get him back to Utah.

He's in Thousand Oaks, Ventura County.

Car is an 87 325is (wide CSB)

    Thanks!

He hasn't got it jacked up yet, but he's going to send me some pics tonight so we can make sure all he needs is the driveshaft.

let me know what you need. I am in Ventura and I work in Oxnard. If he needs anything I can go by the junk yard and get whatever he needs. I have a spare CSB if thats what broke. Let me know what he needs when you know.

    thats my cell number.

Thanks Taylor, I passed your number along.

Turns out it was not the Driveshaft at all. The bolts that hold the axle to the Diff flange came loose and sheared!

He just needs some new bolts

      What junkyards do you recommend?

In Santa Paula there is a junkyard on Mission Rock Rd. Plenty of e30s there but if you are looking for axel bolts, it might be in his best interest to get some new ones either from the dealer or from an indy bolt supplier. I know of one that is right near my work. If its only a few bolts then I will usually get them for free. Are you talking about the ones that hold the axel to the diff? The allen head bolts??

I am going to take a look at realoem and see if I can find the exact measurements and which grade bolt they use.

just looked. they are M10x50 bolts. Only problem is I dont know where to find the grade of bolt they are. Im sure since they are crucial pieces that they would be grade 8 but I dont know.
