That's for radar jammers. Laser shifters are perfectly legal in most states. California isnt one of them, but it's an equipment violation IF they can prove you have it, it's cheaper than a speeding ticket, and you don't get any points for it.

come on, none of that shit actually flies in the real world. a cop can write you a ticket for virtually anything he/she wants. yes, you have the ability to fight it, but the outcome in court is never guaranteed.

They can write you an "unsafe speed for conditions" ticket. Its basically a blanket bullshit ticket where they can give you a ticket for doing the speed limit if they want.
