Etas are terribly disappointing if your looking for a true e30 experience, but as something to just poot around in and still drive an e30, its fantastic. I'd probably get an 88 eta down the road when cash is flowing a little more, then chip eventually along with keeping my "i"

If you get it, you can buy my chip on the cheap. It really wakes up eta.

i feel fantastic...
When my car was hit, my girlfriend loaned
me her 91 camry four banger, which she had been driving
around for the past five years as a handmedown car.
While in my possession i replaced, flywheel, starter, mounts
fluids, and missing interior bits.
After we got back from the trip to Seattle for the green car
she came back wanting something her own.
We sold the Camry, and if all goes well and to plan, shes picking
up a calypso e34 in fantastic conditions.

my eta 5spd got 33.1 mpg from lompoc-simi valley. pulled surprisingly hard for an eta too. the downside is that it'll have very limited resale value.....
those who say a 2.7i built from a non-88 isn't worth it haven't built one for themselves. they pull very hard; transforms everything about the car.
omar, that's sweet news. i'm also ready to pull my trans wheneva1989 325is / 2.7, 274 cam, e30 M3 5-lug

Didn't know the other ones were seta-able too. I'm a 2.7 noob; sue me :-P

hahah i've built both to see what it's all about...the midrange on my '86 2.7i was pretty ridiculous. with the 3.73 i could spin second gear on bottlecaps. not chirp, but spin.
some people say rough idle, hard start blah blah blah. never had a problem with any of that.1989 325is / 2.7, 274 cam, e30 M3 5-lug
