Hey guys, I'm new here. I couldn't find an into area so I figured I'd come introduce myself
Here. Anyways I don't Have an e30 yet but I have been looking around for a little bit. I'm really interested in this chassis. Anyways I have an automotive background owning a subaru legacy gt the last 3 years has taught me a lot. I had couple questions about these chassis when going to buy one.... What kind of price range is fair for a super clean one. Also is there anything that I should look out for that I might not averagely see when test driving these cars. The average price for some decently clean ones on the local CL seems to be $4500 which seems fair and across the board. Well that's enough writing, I'm from Santa Clarita if anyone knows where that is, I look forward to owing one of there very soon!

The test drive will tell you a lot, don't worry too much about mileage - it's probably not accurate anyway.

Oh man on a similar note I believe lost a friend the other day.....So a buddy of mine calls me early as hell and says "hey can you pick me up from the shop my car is over heating again" so I'm like ok "sure but you know we can fix it ourselves and I'll save you a bunch of money" he then disregards everything I said and asked me "when will you be here", so I get there and this is when shit started he has his dog with him and he knows I don't do animals of any kind in my car for obvious reasons however I made an exception this time since I was already up and drove like 15 miles to get there. I laid down a bunch of blankets I had in the trunk then he gets in the car and swings the door all the way open till it hits the end stopper to fit all off his 150 pound self in my front seat then it's too lazy to reach out and grab the door handle he kicks the door out so it bounces off the stopper closed and I yelled at him right then and there, and he has the nerve to tell me "calm down bro, it's just a car" (oh I damn near punched him). So I get him home and all I hear is a "later man, come on boy" no thanks, no gas money, no offer of breakfast for my troubles nothing. I don't plan to answer his calls ever again. I was getting angry just typing that.

The Touring is dropping some dead weight with the removal of all the crap that was done to it over it's lifetime. Good job Brian! Today it's all about the Dogs. I found a set of Dog Nets for the Touring so the puppies can go for rides with momma.

Talking about door dings... When I was a young buck I had a pretty nice El Camino. One Friday a buddy and I went to the Bank to deposit my paycheck. He waited in the car while I went into the Bank. A couple pulled up next to us in a Camaro. The guy went into the bank and the girl opened her door into the El Camino. My buddy started to give her shit and she got pissed off. So she opened her door again with a little added force and it put a major dent in the side of my truck. Where she hit the side of the truck was in the middle of the area behind the door and the bed. The dent was about 6 inches long and caved in the side about a half an inch. When I came out my buddy apologized to me for rousting the chick so I got back out to see the damage. In those days I was quite the excitable guy so I proceeded to start yelling at the chick. I had her so upset she was crying and locked all the doors in their car. Not one of my finest moments. Insurance told me seeing that it happened in a private parking lot it was my problem. Since then I park as far away from everyone as possible but it still seems like someone parks next to me by the time I return.

Yup. Gotta love early 90's aftermarket. Full alarm system and reminents of a stereo that was there at one time.

I remember once I was waiting in the e30 when an SUV parked next to me. Grandma in the backseat gave my door bang. Since the bump strips are so low and suvs so massive it was almost surprising the door didnt fly through my window. Needless to say grandma wasnt even phased so i just had to sit & take it rather than look bad by yelling at a 80yr old....
