This is something that I have always wanted to do. With the rising rate of cancer and the falling rate of cures for them, I feel that research companies need the funding in order to possibly find a cure of find ways to prevent certain types of cancer. Personally my grandmother died when I was 14 of a combination of cancers. It hits real hard when it happens to you or someone you love.
My idea is to get together an event with venders, food and most important CARS. It would be easy enough for me to find vendors and people willing to help for the cause. I was thinking something like an All Make car meet. Similare to the numbers that Bimmerfest produces. I could find some places big enough to accommodate high numbers of cars and vendor tents. I was thinking about sectioning off the area I book, in Manufacturer sections. i.e. BMW, VW, Audi, Ford, Dodge etc.
Depending on actual cost of the venue, Im hoping they would be willing to donate the venue for a day, I was thinking like $15 a car, all of which would go toward the cause. I have quite a few hook ups for food, drinks, and many other things. I think this could have a really great sizable donation to a cancer research center or treatment center.
Let me know what you guys think. I would really love to get something like this together. I think this would be not only a good cause but a fun day. Cars, food, vendors and knowing that you are helping with something that will aid in finding a cure for cancer.
